Dominic Parkes Photography, which covers Press & PR events, Magazine, School Prospectus, Property, Sport and Wedding photography, started in Salisbury, Wiltshire in 1988.
Whilst still at college on a business studies course Dominic decided to turn the hobby into a business. Local newspapers in the Salisbury area were using freelance photographers and were keen to accept speculative work. After balancing the college course with supplying weekend and evening pictures from local news events he decided to go professional in 1988.
With newspaper and news agency work giving way to more PR and Magazine commissions in around 2000 Dominic finds his newspaper background has given him a style much in demand throughout the Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire areas.
